What specific products/services will you be marketing? Our SEO strategy will depend on a number of market factors that require a deep level of research. My process starts with keyword research. I look for popular search terms related to your services. I find the specific search volume of each keyword to see what people want the most, then analyze the top 10 competitors on the frontpage for each of those keywords. Based on what I find, I'll recommend the best ROI keywords we should target and I'll approximate what it will take to achieve each of those frontpage (ideally top 5) listings.
Create a list of each product or service you provide so we don't miss any opportunities. Some keywords will have very little competition. We might as well grab as many as we can and take advantage of the fact that most businesses just haven't made it online yet.
